Don Pollo of Vienna opened its doors to the public in January, taking patrons on a culinary journey to Peru. Peek behind the service counter and you’ll see the signature rotisserie chicken slowly turning in the oven. Nearby, the head chef, who hails from Peru, prepares the fixings to accompany the bird.
To enjoy the international grub, step up to the counter and place an order for a quarter, half, or whole chicken, selecting dark or white meat if you opt for the smallest serving. The chicken comes with your choice of classic Peruvian sides, including yuca, corn pico, and plantains. You can also try the chicken in the form of a specialty dish, such as the chaufa con pollo, or chicken stir-fry. The chef tosses it over Peruvian fried rice. The menu also includes seafood and steak options if you’re not a fan of poultry.
