Be sure to get your Halloween costume at least a week before Oct. 31 this year. You’re going to need it for the annual Vienna Halloween Parade. Whether your little ones (or you!) choose to march in the parade or just watch from the sidelines, a costume always makes it more fun. The Halloween Parade is set for Wednesday, October 23 at 7 p.m., and will include bands, floats, classic cars, and various performances. No registration is needed to participate – simply join the assembly at the United Bank parking lot at 6:30 p.m. Non-walkers just need to find a spot along the route as it rolls down Maple Avenue between Branch Road and Center Street.
Just like in previous years, awards will be given to top participants in a number of categories at the Town Hall meeting in November. That little bit of friendly competition means that all the partakers in the parade give it their very best. Pick your favorites at this year’s parade, and see if the Town Hall council agrees in November!
