Vienna’s Maple Ave Restaurant may be small, but its reputation among local foodies is immense. Area food critics have consistently named it as one of NoVa’s best restaurants, thanks to the work of General Manager Ricardo Teves and head chef Juste Zidelyte, who bring an international flair to classic American favorites. Take the chicken wings, for example: they’re tossed in a creme fraiche sauce with a bit of Korean chili paste to impart a bit of heat and texture before they are fried crispy. Other popular dishes include a barbecue pulled pork sandwich and seared Arctic char, served family style. The brunch menu is equally appealing, with dishes ranging from a hearty four-egg omelet with a short stack of pancakes to beef empanadas and pork belly hash.
